So October Photo-A-Day Challenge is really great so far, really challenges you to try and think as creative as possible in an instant (the instant you remember about the challenge during your busy day that is) with that in mind, here is mine so far.
Day 1 : Colourful
I chose this, since it shows actual color, and it’s part of the things that brings some color to our lives!
Day 2 : Light

Day 3 : You Today

Day 4 : In Motion

Day 5 : Afternoon
I was almost too late to capture this, but luckily managed to get the sun just before it was completely gone!
As you know by now we took a little trip to a small town called Kaapscehoop, and the first morning we got up at 5am to photograph the sunrise over the stunning view we had at our place!
Now, at first it was really difficult to get some good shots of the sun, as the ground would stay dark because of the excessive sunlight in the shot. So we decided to try a new trick with that seeing as I didn’t have any lens filters with me! We took Marlee’s UV400 brown lens sunglasses and held it in front of the camera lens so as to use it as a make-do filter for the lens!
So what we’ve learned here is that if you don’t have any filters with you, but you do carry dark enough sunglasses you can use them to add either a certain color in your image, or just use them as a polariser to remove any glare in certain images!
Here is the final result from photographing the sun using the sunglasses! I created an HDR by merging all my images I took into one! Thanks to the glasses I achieved that amazing color and contrast in the image!
We will also make a gallery with all of our favorite photos!
